MAE: The Surprise Inside

This is such a cute idea! I've never seen it before. One question: Should the envelope that we create be inserted inside another envelope? It seems that if we decorate the outside and inside flap, when we open the envelope, the inside flap decorations will get destroyed and we won't be able to see what it was supposed to be. Or is there some trick to closing the envelope that won't destroy the inside flap design?

I did this with my students and we just used the regular stickum. If you are worried about it.... Please feel free to put it in a larger envelope and mail it. Another option is to use a tape runner. If your partner glues it shut and you worry about it, warming it under a hair dryer will cause it to separate. :)

I'll either use a larger envelope to mail or make sure it can be opened easily
