Description: | |
This is an international version of @flowerchild s USA swap. Flowerchild's description was so good that I've basically used hers -- but now those of us who live in other places can join in too! I've had to make my dates a few days earlier than hers because I'm off to Iceland on the 1st October! For this swap you will list five (5) themes that you would like to receive in the comments section below. Your partner will then pick from your list and create one (1) pocket letter in one of your themes. Please try to keep your themes on the generic side, We I don't want anyone needing to purchase anything for a very specific request. For example instead of listing Great Expectations, Pride and Prejudice and Little Women as your themes, try "books" instead. If you want to mention your favourites, then do -- but part of the joy of pocket letters (and swaps in general) is being surprised! There must be a letter in one of the pockets. Not a one paragraph note but a nice letter. If you write a 6 page essay that is your choice and I applaud you! One nicely written/typed page is all that is required. Each pocket should be decorated to fit the theme and have some sort of goodie in it. Goodies can be themed, colour coordinated or profile picked. The idea after all is to be able to display these in a binder after the goodies are removed … so pretty fronts please! Decorated backs or additional paper backing is designer’s choice. These must be made in the 9 pocket 8 1/2" x 11" pages. This is not profile specific but I always peek at profiles, it is up to you...I think it makes the Pocket Letter a bit more personal. Try to keep these light and flat(ish) so that our swap budgets last thru December! The idea for this swap is to send a letter, some creative fun and a few goodies not a Christmas gift!!! I don't expect any one in this group to flake. Should it happen, however, I will angel after all courses of action are exhausted and a one (1) rating is given. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to message me. And thank you to flowerchild for thinking up such a wonderful swap! |
