Women Poets on a Postcard #1: Maya Angelou

I thought I would start a new Poetry on a Postcard series that will feature all of the fantastic Women Poets throughout time, past and present. I will still be running the original Poetry on a Postcard series, but this one will run each month also and be a nod to women Poets in particular.

The first woman is: Maya Angelou. She was an inspiring woman and her poetry is raw, beautiful, brave, strong... She was a champion in giving women a voice and such a powerful role model herself.

DETAILS: Sender will pick any poem by Maya Angelou to copy onto either a store bought or quality handmade postcard. Your postcard and poem selections should tie in together in some way. You can handwrite the poem onto your postcard or you could also do something like print out a copy of the poem from your computer and then glue it onto your postcard, etc. Whatever method you come up with is fine.

Your postcard should be sent with postage stamps, and without an envelope (or in a clear envelope if you want extra protection).
