This GODDESS Swap is my FIRST SWAP as moderator so I hope you enjoy it. This is an international swap.

You will send 4 (four) GODDESS items to your swap partner. Suggestions are: bumper-stickers, t-shirts, candles, statues, charms, talisman, poems, cards, posters, books, altar items, etc. Please visit your swap partner's page and get a sense of what they like and don't like and choose items accordingly.

It might also be nice to include a note about why you chose the items you did and also some info about your own personal work with & honoring the GODDESS in all women.

RULES

  1. Rating of 4.5 or better, with NO no sends in the past six months. Go ahead and message me if you’ve been rated unfairly at any point or have a good reason for your lower rating or the no sends, and we’ll talk. I’m certainly open to listening.

  2. Newbies allowed, but with filled out profiles please by the time you are signing up.

  3. Communication is key. If you’re going to be late with the swap, let your partner know. If your partner tells you he/she is going to be late, and keeps up the communication, give him/her a break. Sometimes things come up that just can’t be helped. Life happens!

  4. I reserve the right to ban anyone that I think might be a problem. This means people that I've noticed have a history of rating unfairly, nastiness, etc. I believe in playing nice & fairly.

  5. ENJOY, Have FUN - after-all, this is a GAME and a HOBBY . . they are supposed to give you joy!!!!!!!!

THE TRIPLE GODDESS Maiden, Mother and Crone

The Maiden represents enchantment, inception, expansion, the promise of new beginnings, birth, youth and youthful enthusiasm.

The Mother represents ripeness, fertility, sexuality, nurturance, fulfillment, stability, power and life.

The Crone represents wisdom, repose, death, and endings. Like the moon which waxes once again after the new moon and like in the year, where spring always follows winter. The Crone is an end, but she is always followed by the Maiden once more. It is death and rebirth, representing the common pagan belief of reincarnation as well as the renewing cycles of the moon and of the year.

A rating of 3.5 is really low. I'd suggest changing it to at least 4.5. Just a suggestion, but I'm guessing that not too many people will sign up for fear of having a partner that flakes.

I would signup, but the rating requirement is way too low...someone with a 3.5 is a definite problem child. Let me know if you change it! peace, Holly

Hi everyone - the rating has been made higher. Please think about joining! Thanks - Traci

Hi everyone I just wanted to say - I might be joining if I see that I can find the time to work on this one properly (I'd LOVE to!). My things would be most probably all hand-made - if anyone has a problem with that, say the word and I won't join. I just want to make sure it doesn't get misunderstood: I can't get things here really, no shop mainly to buy pagan things. If I'd order I'd never get anything in time. And besides I LOVE handmaking things, especially pagan / Goddess related.

And beside everything else: This is an absolutely wonderful swap-idea!!!

Id love to participate in this one. New to the site however. so I dont think I fit the rating requirement, though my profile is filled out and I post pretty much every friday with my other mail commitments. Aside from this. Im another person who loves making hand made pagan/goddess things. Small charm pouches or hand sewn dolls etc. I tend to avoid ATC's.

Calling the Divine by Talya Starfire

When the stars and the moon are high up above I call on the Goddess and her consort, her love The God with bronze skin and his voice deep and low The Goddess in splendor with a silvery glow Magick surrounds them in the deepest of night Silver engulfs them and then there is light The moon is her womb and stars adorn her hear The summon the elements earth, fire, water, air The God calls the air and it swirls around The Goddess calls earth and then there is ground Then comes the fire and it sputters and leaps The Lady calls water, a pool appears deep I bow down before them but they each take your hand "Don't kneel my sweet child, for this is your land" I look up and smile and their eyes are so kind And I know I've found something not many can find.

Goddess Creation Story I know not everyone follows a Goddess-oriented path, but I wanted to share it. I do believe this was written by the author, Starhawk.

Alone, awesome, complete within Herself, the Goddess, She whose name cannot be spoken, floated in the abyss of the outer darkness, before the beginning of all things. And as She looked into the curved mirror of black space, She saw by her own light her radiant reflection, and fell in love with it. She drew it forth by the power that was in Her and made love to Herself, and called Her "Miria, the Wonderful".

Their ecstasy burst forth in the single song of all that is, was, or ever shall be, and with the song came motion, waves that poured outward and became all the spheres and circles of the worlds. The Goddess became filled with love, swollen with love, and She gave birth to a rain of bright spirits that filled the worlds and became all beings.

But in that great movement, Miria was swept away, and as She moved out from the Goddess She became more masculine. First She became the Blue God, the gentle , laughing God of love. Then She became the Green One, vine-covered, rooted in the earth, the spirit of all growing things.

At last She became the Horned God, the Hunter whose face is the ruddy sun and yet dark as Death. But always desire draws Him back toward the Goddess, so that He circles Her eternally, seeking to return in love.

All began in love; all seeks to return to love. Love is the law, the teacher of wisdom, and the great revealer of mysteries.

ARE YOU LOVING YOURSELF TODAY?

Bring a desire, problem or issue clearly into your mind, breathe deeply for a few moments and when ready, select each card in turn to summon your Prosperity Goddess. Permit the Wisdom of the Goddess to guide you through Your Own Intuition.

I apologize to those of you who have not received yet from your partners. Today marks a week after the send date and there are three participants who have not sent their packages - or at least not marked themselves sent. Swap-Bot Most Asked Questions section says to wait four (4) weeks after the deadline to rate your partner . . .. but I say if they have not sent within two (2) weeks and/or have nto been in touch wiht you, you have very right to rate them accordingly.

As for myself, if these swappers have not sent within two weeks of the send date (10/20), I will ban them from any future swap that I run.

Its just not fair to those who have sent and to those who are waiting for packages. And quite honestly, I don't have the time or the desire to play Mother Goddess!

Thanks for getting your swaps out ladies . . . . better late than never. 2 down and only one to go. You know who you are!!!!!

LadyT 10/18/2008 #

All swaps have been sent!!! YEAH!!!! Can't wait to get my package.

If anyone is interested, I'm running a Wheel of the Year Circle swap. The first one just closed for Samhain but there is a new one up for Yule.

In light & love - Lady T
