Description:

For this swap you will create six mermaid themed inchies for your partner. you can do them in any medium you wish, paint, pen, collage, mixed media, etc. the only criteria is that each one must have a mermaid or merman on it and each card must measure 1"x1". please make these out of cardstock or thicker. (i actually paint on drawing paper and then mount it onto cardstock/scrapbook paper to make them study). Please put your name on the back. I have a nice collection and love knowing who made them for me! they can be embellished with glitter, rhinestones or not. you are the artist, you get to create them!

As this is an international swap, i would like to keep these simple so that postage is not an issue. if you ceran wrap or cling wrap them to a playing card or ATC and just slip them into a greeting card, they will not weigh more than a regular stamped envelope.

here is the usual stuff. no ones or threes in the last six months, must have a 4.9 or higher rating and have a very well filled out profile. I keep the right to drop anyone who doesn't look like they take the swap commitment seriously.

This is going to be my first swap, and I've never made inchies before, so I hope I do okay! I've got one done and I'm super excited about this. :D

tip. if you will draw it before you cut it, you can put the inch anywhere that it fits. so that you don't have to worry about "awkward" positioning. I make a grid of 1inch squares on drawing paper and then draw in every other one. then I cut them out of the drawing paper and mount them on cardstock. you are going to do just fine!! :)

ive used gum wrapper edges, glitter, rhinestones on the back ground....there is so much you can do!

Wow, thank you! I'll have to try that. A few of the ones I cut out were a little wonky. Haha. I've only finished two, so I'll try that. :]
