Description:

This swap is for a random envie sent using a Flannery stamp (.93 cent, covers 3oz.). Sorry, USA only.

If you do not have a Flannery stamp, that is okay. As long as your envelope is close to three ounces and costs at least $.93 to mail.

Stuff it full of random bits! Anything flat goes: stickers, ephemera, paper, vintage clippings, notecards, ATCs, zines, washi tape, tags, rubber stampings, punches, etc.

Feel free to check your partner's profile for likes and dislikes, but it is Sender's Choice.

Rating of 4.8 or higher required. Newbies welcome with filled out profile.

Do you know if it would be OK to put different stamps that add up to 0.93 in order to mail 3 oz?

poeticpaper 12/30/2015 #

tsiredli, YES, that if perfectly fine. Assorted stamps on an envie are awesome, imo.

OK, thanks! I love having lots of stamps on an envelope! Now I have another question (sorry) - can anyone give some examples of what would be considered ephemera?

crochetjunkie 12/31/2015 #

Ephemera is anything primarily paper-based that can be used in paper crafts. Examples: used postage stamps, pages torn from dictionaries or foreign language phone books, I once had old written prescriptions that had went through the pharmacy from the early 60s...old photographs...interesting bits of papers or photos, used movie or airplane tickets...chipboard pieces, stamped images...cut out images...it is really a broad term. Google it!!!

@tsiredli ephemera is generally considered any kind of paper stuff simply made to serve its purpose and be discarded. For example: tickets, bus passes, flyers, brochures, maps, postage stamps, newspapers, magazines, take-out menus, baggage claim tags, labels, business cards, candy wrappers...these things aren't made intentionally to last "forever".

Can the envelope be any size?

I loved this swap! I hope you do more in the future!
