Description:

With the blessing of the lovely @TwinMom I'm going to be taking over hosting duties for the 13 gifts of Halloween swap series. Between now and October there will be 13 swaps, each with a different theme. You can pick and choose your favorites or join them all and have enough gifts to celebrate the 13 days of Halloween in style!

The first swap in the series is an old favorite and the one thing always guaranteed to put me in the Halloween spirit. You'll be sending your partner a DVD copy of your favorite Halloween movie. The DVD should be new and factory sealed with a minimum of $5 spent. This is sender's choice, so you may receive anything from family friendly Disney to paranormal documentary to Rob Zombie gore fest, but, with an open mind, you might be introduced to something that could become a new favorite :)

Your gift should be wrapped, preferably with a Halloween theme, and labeled with the swap name and your Swap-bot ID. For this swap you should also include a short note telling your partner why this is your go to Halloween favorite.

Finally, please rate your partner when the swap is received, even if you choose to wait until Halloween to open your gift.

I hope to join some of the next ones and will keep an eye out for them. I just didn't want to take the chance at sending out late. Do you have some planned themes yet? Thanks for hosting these.

I do have ideas for the rest of the series. There will be swaps for handmade gifts, grab bags, craft supplies, Edgar Allan Poe themed gifts, scary books, baking/cooking supplies,Halloween accessories to wear, items for the home, and a few others I'm still working on. If you have any ideas I'd love to hear them and maybe work them into the line up

Those sound great! I can hardly wait! I looked all season for wrapping paper but have an idea for that too. Last year, it made the Hallows celebration rock!

One swap I entered did a series of numbered envelopes (like an Advent calendar). In it, you were to put something to read, and a little treat. This was so hard. AND while I thought I would love opening something every day, I got behind and opened 2-3-4 at a time. I wouldn't do that one again.
