What is a Pass and Paste Postcard? It is an Post Card 4x6 - anything over that takes a forever stamp. The "front" of the postcard is divided into 4 sections. Each section is numbered 1 through 4.

The "back" of the postcard is divided in half, just like a regular postcard. Your address is in the address part on the right of the card. The "writing" side was divided into 4 spaces, numbered 1 through 4.

Place it into an envelope and mail to your assigned partner. When you recieve your swap you will decorate spot # 1. When the next pass and paste is listed you will place in an envelope and mail it out to your assigned partner. The next person does spot #2. When it is filled you mail it home and start a new one for yourself.

All sections must include a butterfly

If you would like to drop out at anytime please contact me and I will get it going again. Any questions please don't hesitate to ask. Happy swapping!

When I start a new card do I decorate spot 1 myself or do I keep it empty?

We tried something like this a few years back and the logistics of this won't work when it comes to rating.

Here's why, see my comments below:

Directions as listed above with my comments in Parenthesis ( ):

Place it into an envelope and mail to your assigned partner. (Since the Swap-Bot rating system is set up to Rate your Partners on the Swap you've received so basically for this swap you'd be rating your partner on a blank postcard.)

When you receive your swap you will decorate spot # 1. When the next pass and paste is listed you will place in an envelope and mail it out to your assigned partner. (Basically, the 2nd pass and paste is being rated by the first pass and pastes person's blank postcard with your #1 spot decorated)

The next person does spot #2. When it is filled you mail it home and start a new one for yourself. (The person who originally created the postcard would not receive it back because it has already been passed to 2 people).

Does the above make sense. It's hard to do a Round Robin Swap with how the rating system is set up.

Again, this is just what happened when we tried to set up a similar swap a while back. I may be reading too much into this but logistically I believe it won't work with the rating system.

Just trying to help.

@Jfreeman I get what you are saying. There are many pass and pastes however that are up and running in the main stream of swap bot. I have perticipated in them and they work out with ease. You are rating a blank card at first.....but you are rating that they made it, sent it and sometimes a heart because they provided extras for you to use on the pass and paste or other projects. Most pass and pastes have 3-4 spots also. If you are the last person to fill in the spot you don't have to sign up, you can decorate and send home or sign up and get a new one of yours in circulation.

@Harrisfamily2003 - Great news that it works. I'll have to try one of this upcoming swaps. Thanks for the explanation.
