Embellishment Envy

*** Not for the novice crafter!** Ladies, ladies, ladies! (& gents, to any out there!) Been looking to challenge yourself, or for the opportunity to flaunt & flex your stuff? Well here it is, the embellishments envy swap! I don't mean a paper punch out slapped on a cardstock circle, I mean an 'Ooh & Aah!' affair. I couldn't find an image to justify what I was talking about (& still be clear enough to see), but what I did find at least shows you I mean to put some detail into your work! Your partner should gasp and squeal at the pieces you've created and everyone should get positively Glowing reviews.

I've provided ample time to get these done, as I know life sadly doesn't pause so we can play. As for myself, I'm a caretaker, so I sometimes don't get to send out my package till the due day, even though it's been sitting on my craft desk for some time.

Now on to the actual specifications :

*5 stunning embellishments

• Must be at least one inch in diameter- aka using a one inch circle punch is ok, but just don't slap another punch ( like a butterfly, button, or something like that) on top of it and call it done. I'm talking make it special, detailed. Altered bottle caps are fine to use as well; I've seen some with dangle charms etc on them that were just gorgeous.

• Must be sturdy! As in if you're going to use cardstock as your base, please use 110 lbs weight +, or watercolor paper. 65 lbs weight is just to flimsy. Of course this doesn't apply if you're going to use metal or wood pieces as a base.

• Please, PLEASE ensure your partner doesn't have to pay for extra postage. Not very courteous.

• Just to cover my bases- Please make sure your partner will be able to attach your pieces to whatever they will be using it for. For example, if it needs to be attached via a brad or jump ring, provide a hole for them to use. If it's a bottle cap, provide a lobster claw to hang it with- you get the idea.** You do not have to provide double sided tape for paper or wood embellishments that will lay on a flat surface.**

• Dimensional- At least one element of your design has to be dimensional. It can be your flowers, dangling charm(s), or the use of foam tape or foam dots, a bow, etc.

• This is a bit of a combination of senders choice and partner preferences. I myself am pretty open to most designs/themes/colors, but for example if my partner were to send me an orange, yellow, salmon and brown paisley or hippy design, I wouldn't be able to use their creations simply because I wouldn't make anything with those sorts of themes/colors. Things like that aren't even in my stash to begin with. So in short, make sure you check your partners dislikes. Avoid anything they'd not like, and you're free to let your creativity loose!

• Altered paperclips- Please do NOT do planner style paperclips that have stickers, ribbon, or a cabochon glued to the top. Banner style only please, and 2 paperclips count as one item.

• If you decide to do altered clothes pins, please do not use the super mini ones.

• Please use a bubble envie, and put your creations inside either a self-sealing bag or something similar. Basically, you don't want loose items flying around inside your envie! If you decide to do altered paperclips, please attach them to a piece of cardstock before putting them in their baggie.

I got my inspiration to do this swap after seeing a YouTube video by Scarpdaworld and some of her more detailed/embellished pieces.
