Description:

Crochet your partner a mandala -- this is a good way to use up some colorful scraps!

What is a mandala? A mandala is geometric figure representing the universe in Hindu and Buddhist symbolism. In common use, mandala has become a generic term for any diagram, chart or geometric pattern in a circle.

Your crocheted mandalas can be used as dishcloths, trivets, doilies, etc...

Swap Requirements:

Mandalas must be at least 6 inches in diameter, and include at least 3 different colors.

Please include a note with your swap, telling your partner a little bit about the mandala you made for them.

Checking your partner's profile for color ideas is nice, but not required -- this is sender's choice -- use up the scraps you have!

Established swappers only, please. Profiles will be screened before assigning partners.

I just acquired some vintage circles that you crochet around and join with thread, not yarn. They could be centers for doilies, etc. if anyone is interested in them, let me know and I will send them to you. Have fun with your mandala!

I have never even thought about crocheting a mandala! I'm new to crocheting, so THANK YOU for creating this swap to make all re-inspired to keep learning! I'm saving all of these links for patterns and am going to practice. These are beautiful!! What a fun idea!!
