Description:

So as the weather turns colder my thoughts turn to warm woolies. I find knitting hats is a great way to get quick gratification!

In this swap, you will have one partner. Please send a pattern for one hat (PLEASE check their profile or the discussion to see if they knit or crochet, or if they have a preference if they do both). It's great if you can send a pattern you have already made yourself, but if they knit and you crochet, your local yarn shop can recommend one, and hat patterns are not too expensive.

In addition, please send them the yarn they need to make the hat. Usually a hat only needs one skein (or partial skeins if multicolored) so again, it should not be a big investment. Please send nice yarn that you would use yourself.

You do not need to worry about getting exactly the perfect colors or style for your partner (hey, a handmade hat makes a great gift if they colors aren't right for you), but do check for your partner's allergies, we don't want any rashy hands!

I will ban anyone who looks dodgy, but really the idea is to have fun. So that's it--send one partner one hat pattern and the yarn to make it with!

Hi sounds fun. I'm a knitter with no allergies :>

no allergies here but I do prefer to knit with natural fibers.:) I am looking forward to this swap!

Whoot! I crochet and have a tough time with those fairy lash type yarns... make me grumpy! So something basic is good for me!

i have been meaning to finally crochet myself a hat!! i wouldn't mind attempting to knit again, but it would have to be something very very basic - i'd prefer crochet! i think this is a great swap idea!!! :D

Sounds fun. I do both but crochet is easier. Crocheting for 20 years knitting for two. Christa

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I am much more comfortable knitting than crocheting!
