Description:

Hello Everyone! With Angel's blessing I am continuing the Friendship Afghan Swaps. Please look for the last few rounds so you can complete your blankets. - This is the last round.

BOTH CROCHETERS & KNITTERS WELCOME!!!

INTERNATIONAL SINCE THE POSTAGE WILL BE FAIRLY SMALL.

In this swap you will have two partners. You will knit or crochet 3 6inch squares for each partner for a total of 6 squares. You will receive two packages containing 3 squares each from your respective partners. This will give you 60 squares to complete your blanket, if you join each round. You will use your partner's choice of colors, so please PM or email them for their choice, OR, please refer to the discussion board below and add your choice as well.

You can use any pattern you choose, so long as the completed square measures 6inches. All squares should be made with 4-ply worsted weight yarn (or equivelent). Please do not use chunky, bulky or fingering weight yarn; we want the squares to match when we sew them together!

Everyone is welcome, as long as they have a rating above 4.5. Newbies are welcome with a completed profile. I will be checking profiles before assigning partners and anyone with no-sends within the last three months and a rating below 4.5 will be deleted from the swap.

You are welcome to send goodies along with your squares and any extras or particularly well-done squares should earn hearts.

PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST RATE FOR THIS SWAP. Please do not sign up for this swap if you do not plan to rate.

IMPORTANT: If you are behind on your squares from previous rounds, and have not sent, you will be deleted from this round!

Feel free to PM me for resources of free patterns!

I would really like to have any shade of denim- like any color of jeans- or varigated blues with white.

telizas 09/22/2008 #

Just no varigated yarn for me. Stripes, designs, etc with solid colors or just solid colored squares are cool with me. Use up some stash!

I like jewel tones, not pastels, and not the neons. The colours you see in Amish quilts, rich reds and greens and blues and purples, those sorts of colours.

SpinKnitUp 09/23/2008 #

Earth tones/fall colors for me. Dark blues, greens, rust, marigold, etc.

paulavelosa 09/30/2008 #

for me: red, orange and yellow. thanks

mourtisha 09/30/2008 #

I would like Tiffany Box blue, chocolate brown, and cream.

AmandaC 10/ 4/2008 #

I would love mine to be in ocean-y shades. Like beach glass, sand, water, sky - more natural colors and not really bright. Thank you!!! :)

any color is fine but I prefer 100% cotton or 100% wool fibers.

Slytheringrrl 10/21/2008 #

Bright colors, no pastels

I would like ocean colors such as blues, san, tans and such. More toned down earthy colors. Thanks!

ladyfeathers 11/24/2008 #

Any colors, each row a different color if possible please. The brighter the better. Thanks!

jessica 11/29/2008 #

Aery 11/30/2008 #

no acrylics, neons or varigated yarns, anything else is great!

sienna 01/ 1/2009 #

I'm going for blues into purples, with maybe a bit of teal thrown in - also, I prefer machine washable yarn for this swap. I can't imagine hand washing a blanket!

Moonspider 01/ 6/2009 #

Any fiber is OK, any color is OK, solid, varigated, fleck or stripe is OK. Just use up your stash. Thank you!

Holda 01/16/2009 #

Browns! Dark, medium or light will work. Please NO acrylic yarn.

flouncypenguin 02/18/2009 #

I love white if possible!

If not, then any shade of pink.

Pookledo 02/28/2009 #

Shocking pink, purple or black. Acrylic please :)

helenkosings 03/ 4/2009 #

I like bright solid colors in something washable. Jewel tones and black are good. I love stripes and patterns - just not variegated yarns. Please use stash! That's more important. Thanks.
