mug rug

hi everyone!

i thought it'd be fun to make a mug rug - CHRISTMAS in SUMMER themed- for your iced choice of drink- lol - we ALL could use a little christmas in our daily lives!

i've attached a few links for those who have never made one before.

this is the ORIGINAL recycled art project- the history is simple- in the 1800's material was saved and reused and then reused again- hence the penny rug. scraps could be cut as small as pennies and then stacked hand sewn and viola- you had a penny rug- used for actual rugs, bedding, or for "doilies" or candle rugs--

nowadays- mug rugs!

this is a stash buster made from your fabric scraps- any material will do- i personally use felt and hand sew it all.

so here are the pesty rules---

CHRISTMAS IN SUMMER THEME - sender's choice of colors ( think santa on the beach, a snowman tanning, an elf on a boat...) must be approximately 8"x10" may be hand sewn or machine sewn any type of fabric you choose

you must have no unexplained 1's or 3's for this exchange and an average rating of 4.9.
