Layered Stencil Tag

I love tags and I am currently participating in the 12 tags of 2016 by Tim Holtz. I thought it would be fun to start a series of tag techniques taught by Tim and swap them with each other.

I want to kick off the series with this technique:

Layering Stencils.

Point form instructions:

1- Choose a stencil and apply paint

2- Choose another stencil, apply a different color paint.

These will now act as a resist to the next step

3- Ink your tag- you can use several colours to achieve a beautiful coloured tag

4-Choose another stencil and apply a spray of distress ink

5- Choose another stencil and apply a different color of distress ink

6- Add an image

7- Add a sentiment

8- Ink your edges to anchor the tag
