Description:

Hi everyone!

I've always been interested in runes and only just recently started learning a little more about them. So I was wondering if anyone on here would be interested in runes themed swap?

I will make this really free: You will send one runes-related something (or more if you wish!) to your swap partner (you will have one swap partner). You can buy it or you can make it yourself, it can be tiny, it can be big. You could for example decorate a notebook with runes and this way create a runes-book for your partner, to write in notes about her / his working with runes. Just one idea! :)

Other rules:

  • Please make this a special swap. No matter if you buy or create the Runes swap: It shouldn't be just a card with a rune scribbled onto it or something like that.
  • International
  • A rating of at least 4.5
  • no recent no sends or 1s - if you have any one of those and there was a reason for them etc., please contact me.
  • At least 8 completed mail swaps.

I will leave a bit more time to create this swap in case you'd like to get really creative. If you have any further ideas - please feel free to post them either here or directly to me!

Thanks for the invitation but I have too many other swaps going right now to concentrate on. If you do it again after the first of the year, I'd probably be interested. Thanks - Lady T

This is such a cool idea. I made my first set of runes. I never thought about a "rune notebook" but that's a neat suggestion. Or maybe a pretty storage box?

This sounds great! I already have a runes set that my friend gave me for Yule a couple of years ago. A runes- note book does sound great or a storage box too.

Believe it or not, I was thinking about creating a runes swap! =D YAY!!!

Hi everyone! I'm so glad everyone likes this idea so much. :D I figured that making RUNES themselves might not be the right idea as mostly people have their own ones (I do), so I thought something Runes-related would be really nice. A pretty storage box sounds lovely. Or a special pouch? Or something entirely different. Like a special pendant or... a bracelet containing all runes... well, whatever you can think of. :) Whatever you can find or make. :)

I don't have runes... =P

Hey Mari, then you know what you could make next, heeheeh. ;D Or maybe once the swap-partners are assigned you can always point out that it's an option for your partner to make you runes. Maybe your partner will like that. :)

a friend i circle with makes these awesome grounding stones with binding runes painted on them. they are like worry stones. you carry them in your pocket and rub them when you feel stressed to remind you of the earth....rune based and virtually free...just an idea...also...maybe a dotee bag to hold your runes...

dangerine, those sound really amazing! wow! good ideas! :)

I took a ceramics class recently, and made something I think I will send for this swap...

tinnuwen 10/17/2008 #

Ceramics! wow, that sounds interesting. :D

just for information: I'm aware that AuntieM is in this swap - a change in swappers there has been arranged - the swapper who'd have been sending to her is sending now to the one who should have received something from AuntieM.
