Description:

Let’s create a collaboration Holiday Card! Start with a half page of card stock or blank greeting card. The card can be up to 5/7 inches and fit in a standard greeting card envelope. Divide the front into the assigned number of spaces. (I’ll adjust this number if needed once the swap closes). Each will be about a quarter of the front page in size. Number each of the squares in a corner. Decorate the edges of your card if you like. Pick a square and put a little holiday themed doodle/sketch/ drawing embellishment in it. You may use any of the holidays between the start of the swap and mid Jan as a theme for your art. There are several so there should be something for everyone.

On the inside draw numbered lines across it. On the line with the number corresponding to the space you used on the front add a Holiday greeting and sign your name. Now put it in a 6 inch by 9 inch envelope and send to the next person in the RR. Eventually we will each get our card back and have a wonderful greeting card from all of us.

Any problems contact me. You’ll need to wait until the swap is assigned before you start your card. I’ll leave plenty of time to create, but please send promptly to the next person so we can get these back in time to send out if we choose to part with our creation.

I will post the sequence to send once sign up ends and partners are assigned. We will be ignoring the assignment and sending in a RR circle. If 10 people sign up, we’ll have 2 RR circles—one with 4 and one with 6. Those in the group with 4 will send to 3 others, those with 6 will send to 5. (I thought an even number of squares would look nicer overall. If you have an idea of how to make it work with odd numbers, please comment below and we can try it!).

Okay! Just 3 of us, so divide the card into 3 parts--any way you prefer. You fill in one section then send it to the next person who fills in the 2nd and sends it on to the 3rd person who finishes it and sends it back home to its owner.

Bonnie will send to Rebecca who will send to me. I'll send to Bonnie who sends to Rebecca, etc. Got it?

Ooops! I just realized that 8x10 paper won't work with the sizes I put in (copied from the old swap). The Christmas cards I've been looking at are mostly at least 5x7, so let's use up to that size if you prefer.
