Chinese new year: year of the cock/rooster

Easy and fun!

Send your partner a flat red, yellow or gold decorated envelope and place within it a greetings card (hand-made or bought) for the Chinese new year and an appropriate goody or two (hand-made or bought). These might be charms or good omens, calligraphy, poetry, cock/rooster goodies, commemorative stamps, a papercut, a recipe from the spring festival, a hongbao/lai see envelope (no real money! Play money is fine) whatever you think your partner would like to receive.

Black or white, sharp items, four of anything, shoes, clocks or watches, handkerchiefs, pears, cut flowers (especially little white ones), umbrellas, mirrors, envelopes in white, black or blue

Please post in plenty of time to get to your partner by Chinese new year's eve (27th January 2017), but please don't mark your partner down if the postal service lets them down.
