VTH: Patina Effects with Pearl Ex

Use your punch or Cricut to cut out a piece from cardstock. In my example, I used a key from my Cricut. Here is the fun part. Mix a little water with a little Pearl Ex so that it is like paint. Now paint 3 colors that will make your piece look like it has rusted. I let each color dry for just a few minutes before I added the next color. I used Sunset Gold. Brilliant Gold & Super Bronze. For the 2nd key I used Duo Red-Blue, Silver & Super Russet. You can use any 3 colors that you think will look like patina/ rust.

This is an embellishment for your ATC. You can use any theme. Be sure to add a sturdy backing. I had to go back & spray it with a sealant (hair spray) because the paint was rubbing off on my fingers.
