Description:

To quote Mitch McConnell: "She was warned. She was given an explanation. Nevertheless, she persisted"'

I've long had a lot of respect for Elizabeth Warren, and last week's events have only added to that. It's awesome to see the lists popping up of other women who also fit the bill.

For this swap, you will send a postcard to three partners. On the back, write/draw/whatever about a woman who persisted despite the challenges that she faced. The front of the postcard doesn't need to be tied to the theme (I know that I don't always have cards that fit into certain themes and don't have the means to hunt them down).

Happy Women's History Month!

If you don't have postcards to fit the theme, find a picture and get ir printed at a CVS. Then put it on some cardstock. Write your message and put tape over it. This is how I make my postcards because NO PLACE around me sells them. Plus you get to pick your own picture. :D

If you have a FedEx Kinkos near you, you can upload an image online to have printed out and picked up in the store. Depending on what type of paper you use, it can be anywhere from $2-$4. It usually prints 2 on a page. (Be sure to look for coupon codes to get it cheaper). I've made 4 postcards like this and used a postcard rubber stamp from hobb lobby for the back.

Anyone interested in finding a wide variety of postcards depicting strong women & progressive views on current affairs should check out VisionWorks at www.changingworld.com We are huge fans of Elizabeth Warren here, but do not have a postcard featuring her... yet. But perhaps soon. We also sell wholesale to retailers, so these kinds of postcards could be easily available in your local area. We need to work together to revive the under-rated postcard.
