For the love of snail mail!

Since this is a letter writing group, I thought it would be fun for us to share how we got started in letter writing! This swap will be International, since I'm not sure exactly where we are all located, and it's not as costly to send a letter as a package swap, but if you would like to use this idea to do a regional swap or are interested in regional swap later on, please let me know. :)

The swap is very simple write an account of how you got into writing letters and why you still write letters. Your account should be at least one side of 8.5x11" / (A5) paper. It's preferable to hand write the letter, but if that's not possible, a typed letter is ok. You will have 1 partner for this swap. Requirements are just a letter with the following questions answered (in a paragraph form). Any extras are up to you.

How you got into writing letters for the first time –maybe some details of you first pen – friend. Are you still writing to them? How you found your subsequent pen - friends - What methods did you use? How long you have been writing letters? Have you ever met any of your pen - friends? Where did you meet them? Why you still write letters?

I recently participated in a swap that I loved so much, I asked the host if I could host a similar swap here in our group. (Thanks to @ devilyn for letting me borrow her idea! ) I haven't hosted a swap in a very, very long time, so please PM me with any questions you might have about the swap in case I didn't get the wording quite right! :)

I'm giving lots of time to sign up and to write your letter. I know May can be a busy month for some, and I want to give everyone a chance to take part in the swap if they wish!
