Description:

I've hosted this exact swap previously, in my other group, and it was literally life changing. It REALLY helped me make some positive changes, and I've made a great friend who continues to motivate me. This swap is a lot of work, but it's a great way to kick off a journey toward our goals.

Do you have a goal you're trying to obtain or a routine you're trying to establish, and a little bit of motivation and encouragement may go a long way? Then this . . . THIS is the swap for you!

You will be assigned 1 partner who, for a month, will be your accountability buddy. The first part of this swap is to establish with one another your goal, plan of action, and a brief explanation of why this is your goal. Ex: I want to accomplish_____. I will do so by _____. I want to accomplish this because _____. You should do this right away, the day partners are assigned - I suggest getting this drafted up and ready to be sent while waiting for assignments.

Secondly, you and your partner will exchange a message at least three times a week (more if you so choose), for 30 days, via any means you prefer: swap-bot, Facebook, email, etc. to check in and ask if you did your part for the day. Ex: "Did you write in your journal today?" "Did you make it to the gym?" "Did you start that paper?" Note: You will be exchanging emails with two partners - your 'send to' partner AND your 'receives from' partner, but the final part applies only to your 'send to' partner ... unless you're feeling extra generous :)

Finally, after 30 days of having your accountability buddy, you will have 2 weeks to send a small, profile based gift with a short letter/note outlining the result of the swap. Ex: I write in my journal daily now, I don't procrastinate any longer, etc. The gift can be purchased OR you can make something; it can be chosen just because it is something your partner likes OR something that reflects their accomplishment -feel free to put feelers out there during your month of exchanges!:)

This swap has a lot of components, and so, I've labeled it a Type 3 swap since a small package will be mailed in the end. Because there are so many components, a lot of work involved, and a gift involved, you must have a 4.9+ to participate, and newbies with no ratings will not be able to join this time (If you do NOT meet this criteria, we can discuss a private swap between you and I with some additional guidelines). This is going to be a USA only swap this round - if there is significant demand for an international version (at least 10ppl), I will host an international version - so feel free to comment your international interest! Everyone who signs up should have a well filled out profile displaying likes, dislikes, etc. I WILL be checking profiles for this swap. Please, please, PLEASE be sure you can commit to this swap before signing up as it would be very difficult to angel.

ANY questions, feel free to contact me.

Outline of events: You have until May 15 to sign up. May 16th - partners will be assigned, and you should send your first message outlining what you'd like to accomplish. June 12th - Last electronic message swap. June 26th -packages should be mailed no later than this date.

Do we send our journal at the end along with our package at the end?

If you are keeping a journal, there is no need to send it unless you want to. A journal is not a requirement of the swap. SO, if you don't want to part with it, no worries :)
