Hi, I love this idea but as a newbie the rules are hazy. i get that you have to include more than 15 songs but what do you mean by 2 songs by the same artist? Does that mean that for each artist you need to put 2 songs on cause some of my artists only have one track that means something to me.

Cloverst, I'm pretty sure she means "not more than 2 songs by the same artist", that way someone doesn't send a whole CD with only one artist on it.

Um... I'm new to the site so at the risk of looking silly I've got a question... How do we know who to send to? Do I get an email? When? I just want to make sure I'm doing this correctly! :) Any info would be appreciated! :) Thank you, Jean

Hi Jean! Basically a day or so after the last day to drop or add the swap when you go to "your swaps" you will see a few new options that weren't there before. Next to "view" the swap, there will be a new link that you can click on that says "see your partners". When you click on that link it will show you the addresses of the people that you will be sending to and any links of theres so that you can find out a little more about them. You will also recieve an email reminding you of who your partners are as well. The email is sent to whatever email address you gave when you signed up. I hope that helped. I suspect our intrepid leader still is out with his computer problem. (Bet he is frustrated!) Can we extend the send date if the partners aren't assigned pretty soon?

It says I have 3 partners??? Not that I mind, because I would just make the same mix and liner notes for all, so it's not a problem, but I don't want to get them sent and have a different partner reassigned!!!

OK guys I am very very very sorry. I have gotten my computer back, and I am looking into the three partner issue. You are only supposed to have one. It's my issue, no you guys, I didn't hit the assign button when I should have and the bot assigned them for me. Okay...Now all I ask is give me one more day, I will extend the send by date a week. I have to get all the updates for all of my programs because they had to put in a new Hard drive. I apologize to all of you. I didn't flake or forget about yall. If a week isn't long enough extention, let me know. I can extend it longer if needed.

ACK! Sorry about that Brennan - I just assumed - that'll teach me (I hope) LOL.

I sure appreciate the extra week, a little longer would be good IF we have three partners. I too am okay with that, but my problem is that two of my three are the same person!

Aren't new hard drives fun? NOT! I had to replace mine recently. It takes a while to get the computer back to where it was. Most frustrating.

so...if I have an international partner...i've heard something about some type of form I have to fill out to send it. Is that true? Do I need some type of form to send it overseas? I just want to make sure that they get it on time if I do need to fill out some type of form online.

Carniehands, just check with your post office people when you go in to send it off. They usually want you to declare what you're sending for Customs. Usually just a little green slip they give you to sign and stick on the parcel.

Carniehands...Its a simple little thing, I actully use the automated thing because I never get the post office before it closes. That you don;t have to fill out anything and you can charge it on a card. Its kinda a pain though if you have alot of evelopes cause you have to do them all individually. But I do it because I wait till the last minute.

Mine went in the mail today but it will most likely have the postmark of Monday because of the hours post office is open - I can't get there before the last Saturday postmark - little town and it is only open very short time. But my package is in the mail. I hope it doesn't take too long as it is leaving the country.
