Description:

So I've never hosted a scavenger hunt before but I think it will be fun. I wanted to try to include a lot of nature inspired items and handwritten goodies, because I think they add a special touch. Each swapper will have one partner, so you'll have to get together the following items, fit them all into one envelope or box, and send it to one person. Have fun and be creative! For your scavenger hunt, you NEED to include the following

2 inchies
1 yard of ribbon
1 item with an owl on it
1 item with any other bird on it
12 different brads, any size or style
1 ATC in a natural theme
1 metal charm
1 4x6" photograph taken by you
1 recipe
1 handwritten lyrics to a song
2 journaling items
1 natural found object (stone, feather, leaf, flowers etc)

Please give your partner a heart if they include all of the above items AND put in extras. I'm setting this one up to go a bit long as it has a lot of elements. I'd like anyone who joins to have around a 4.5 or higher, newbies are welcome if they contact me to say why they want in. This swap is US only to save on shipping. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments, and HAPPY SWAPPING!

The description says this is US only, but the location given at the top of the swap says International. Which is it?

It is US only to save on shipping, but the swap host form wouldn't let me change the region. I put in the description as well, but I know it's confusing. Sorry about the confusion, but thanks for asking- I bet other people were wondering too!

Out of curiousity, what would some typical journaling items be? I'm just looking for some ideas. I hade some, but then I was thinking maybe my ideas weren't the same as other peoples! That happens a lot! :o)

a journaling item is anything that you can write in and use on a scrapbook page. so you could make journaling tags, decorate some index cards, mini folders, small greeting cards, any little piece of paper you can scribble on and paste somewhere. someone once sent me a blank carbon copy receipt, the kind you hand write out. 7 gypsies makes an entire product line of mini postcards and journaling ephemera too, so you can always check them out for inspiration. thanks for your question, and for joining my swap!

Hi I am a newbie and want to sign up. I promise to send out the stuff!! One question ~ what are inchies??

CaseyWright 11/17/2008 #

Hey momoeight-go ahead and sign up and I'll assign the partners tomorrow. An inchie is a 1"x1" square of cardstock (or something equally sturdy) that you decorate any way you want, like a mini scrapbook page or super tiny ATC. You don't have to buy them premade, just crop or punch out a 1" square and get embellishing! Thanks for your interest and happy scavenging!
