ODD-BALL ACRYLIC YARN - A Thrifty Swap!

To help keep prices to a minimum I've made this a swap for U.S. and Canada. Feel free to duplicate this swap for international swapping. In these hard times I don't want to take the fun out of swapping, so I will be doing some swaps as inexpensive, creative uses for swapping what you may have on hand. Nice, useful, creative, and inexpensive - I think we can all benefit by this.

Please note, this swap is not set up for newbies. If you are a newbie and would like to participate please message me. I will set you up in a private swap with me for this same swap. You will need to have a complete profile, and you send swap first and then I will send, and then we both rate etc.

Odd ball yarns for odd knitters and crocheters! Sure, I like nice wools and natural fibers but there are so many small projects that nothing but the cheap ol' acrylic works best for. I have in mind the ever present Red Heart type of worsted weight yarn. I have my stash of colors and some I have way to much of - which I'm sure is the case for most of us. If we swap some balls we will increase our color palette to work with!

This is definitely not a swap for picky or snobbish yarn people prone to complaining about acrylic yarns! Every yarn has a purpose and this is for those of us who can think of them. This is Sender’s Choice. No special requests, but hints to help your partner can be listed in the comments section.

For this swap you will have just one partner to send to:

• An odd number of balls - 9 different colors - measuring at minimum 3 inches across. It should be worsted weight yarn - not bulky or sport/fingering weight.

• 3 free print outs of internet patterns which use small bits of acrylic yarns relating to your partners craft (i.e. knitting or crochet)

• An item of sender's choosing to help with your partners craft (i.e. knitting or crochet) such as needles, hooks, full ball of yarn, bag, markers etc.

Please read partner profiles for allergies, or definite don't sends (i.e. religious, political beliefs, smokey, furry, dirty, used etc.) Sender's Choice does not mean it's okay to send something on your partners Do Not Send List. Only new items may be sent. Items may be bought and or handmade.

Requirements: Minimum of 5 swaps completed and rated. 4.8 or higher and no no-sends. Your profile is filled out with likes and dislikes listed. Please, if you don't really have the time, or you've already signed up for fifty swaps don't sign up. I will check before assigning partners and ban anyone who has slipped in ratings or is posting on their profile that they will late in sending for any reason. I reserve the right to exclude anyone if I believe they will create problems for other swappers. If you turn out to be a flaker I will list your name in the forums as such.
