YARN JUNKIES UNITE 2 !!!

I have a question....is it okay to send some cheap acrylics if they don't figure into the 20$ quota? I have some leftover red yarn from the red scarf project and I don't think I'll be using it anytime....ever!

I actually think that shouldn't be a problem. I've never known a true "YJ" yet who would turn down ANY yarn!! And, if it can't be used, they can pass it on. Anything other than the monthly "color" will just be extra so it should be appreciated! Thanks for asking!

Do we mean yarns for LYS's and not the one's found in a BIG BOX chain? Do fun yarns like Berroco Plush (Nylon) qualify? Just checking...

I had such a great swap partner on the purple swap that I can't wait for the red one! Its gonna be alot of fun.

Well, I couldn't help it. Today I went to the yarn store and she had so much new yarn I had to buy for the red swap. I got bamboo yarn, alpalka silk yarn from debbi bliss, luxury cotton from debbie bliss, and some merino wool. It was all so goregeous I just couldn't help it. I can't wait to get my partner so I can send her the yarn right away!

Are we suppose to have our partners now? I've tried loging onto swapbot twice and it won't let me see my partner. Anybody else having this problem?

I sent a note to Sandy earlier today and asked if she was still planning to do this swap but I've not heard back from her. I hope she's ok and that there isn't a problem that's preventing her from making matches.

Hi there everyone. I'm SO sorry about the delay in assigning partners. I had to have a little unexpected surgery and have been kind of "out of it" so I hope you will forgive me. I will be sending out this month's yarn and then I am going to have to stop the monthly yarn junkies unite swaps for a while - (or if there is one of you who would like to take it over, feel free) I have absolutely loved doing this and also meeting through this swap those of you who I have had contact with! Wow! God really does work in mysterious ways! I am so blessed to have such a wonderfully loving group of friends. Isn't it amazing that through this little yarn swap I have connected with some of the most thoughtful and kindhearted people in the world! Thank you all so very much. I am scared, I'd be lying if I said different, but messages like the ones I got from you all, and the amount of support that I have received already from my friends have made me much more positive. I did have a little feeling sorry for myself period yesterday, but, I'm gonna be fine! I don't even want to type the "C" word, but maybe when they get rid of my ovaries, then all of the "C" will go with them!!! I had a hysterectomy in 96 and now I'm wishing I had had the "complete" instead of the "partial" but, so things go! Please pray for my family....they are the ones I'm really concerned for. I'm very strong (hey! I pick up bail jumpers for a living - a little ole thing like this can't get me down, right/?!!!) But, I can see "that look" in my daughter's eyes every time she looks at me. She's 14 (almost 15) and I think she just isn't quite sure how to feel right now. So all of your prayers for her and my husband and my two sons (my oldest will graduate from college in the Fall and my younger will graduate from US Marine boot camp on April 27) will be greatly appreciated. They are the ones who really need that little extra bit of strength and hope right now. They've heard me say "Everythings gonna be just fine" for so many years, I think I just sound like a broken record to them and they need a little boost in hope! Ok, this is turning into a book. I guess all you have to do now is figure out who is going to host the swap, and then let me know who to email a copy of the info to if you need it and you can just carry it on from there. The only thing different will be the name of the host. But, with every bit of yarn you swap, remember my 'yarn junkie spirit" (and that is my ALIVE spirit, in case you're wondering!!) will be with it. I don't know of anyone who loves yarn more than me!!! My husband and kids don't understand, so having some fellow partners in "crime" has been a lot of fun. Ok, I better cut this off now. Keep in touch. I won't be off the computer, I just won't have time to take care of my swaps the way I like to take care of them!!!! Love to you all, Sandy

Mine is going to be late. I checked the listing today, to make sure I got the right stuff, and see it can't be acrylic. The yarn I bought is expensive acrylic, but acrylic nonetheless. The only yarn store around here is Hobby Lobby, and they don't have natural, at least here. I will go out of town this weekend and get some natural. I apologize for the delay.

PS: I will also send extra for the delay.

I hope this is OK. I got a very nice rating on the last yarn swap, and I'd hate to wreck my ratings.

Who was to be mailing to mustang girl?

I have Mustang Girl. Sigh...the week before last I was looking at the Little Knits site, and I saw some red yarn there that was so cool I had to buy it for this. I ordered it priority mail, which said 2 days. Well after not getting it after 3 days I emailed them and asked if it had been shipped. Got no response. Finally on the THIRD they answered me back that they had two people quit and had to replace them, and they were mailing it out that day. SO, I am still waiting. As soon as it gets here I will send it out overnight delivery. I am so sorry, and not too happy with Little Knits. If it was going to be late, they could have at least let me know right away. :<

If it's any consolation, it's Jade Sapphire Silk Cashmere Ruby Slippers, and I've already got the extras to throw in with it.

Oh that is ok. I know how it is when stuff like that happens! I just had surgery last week so I was running around trying to get all my stuff done. I finally had to slow down and just do what I could do. Now I can get better and enjoy swap-bot again. Jeaneen

For what it cost, the silk-cashmere was shockingly small, so I sent some of a different kind along with it, and a few doodads.
