CSG ~ Fruit of the Spirit, #8 Self Control

This is the eighth in the series based on the Fruit of the Spirit. The eighth "fruit" that we will be discussing will be Self Control.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23)

Self-control is multifaceted. It involves both “control over one’s behavior and the impulses and emotions beneath it” It includes our minds and our emotions — not just our outward actions, but our internal state.

Self-control is very much an important part of maturity. One of the basic characteristics of infancy is a lack of self-control. Not only do babies need diapers, they must be carried because they lack the necessary control and muscle coordination to sit up much less walk or run. If a babies are healthy and normal, in time they will develop more and more self-control—a sure sign of growth and maturity.

For this swap, you will be making a profile comment to your ONE partner of what self control means to you. You also need to include a scripture and how the scripture applies to your life. Please do not use Galatians 5:22-23 as your scripture.
