*Edited - please see information below the tutorial link.* I found us another easy washi card to make. This one is in a Valentine theme. The link below will take you to the tutorial. There are two crafts, but we will be making the card one. Peekaboo Washi Valentine Card Tutorial *Edited: If you don't have Kraft paper or a paper bag, feel free to use something else for the top layer (white or colored card stock, or what have you). I'm flexible. :)* I gave fairly quick sign up and send by dates so we can keep the project in the month of February, but I don't think the card will be that difficult to make and we can start now if we want to. I would love for a little "hello" note to be included with the card. Please state your preference in the comments below if you want your partner to write on the card or include a separate note with the card. Won't you come out and make a fun washi Valentine with me? :)

That looks so easy and fun Beth! I don't have any bags brown or otherwise to do this with. Would it be ok to improvise and use a piece of paper to cut the heart opening out of to make this?

Glenna, I think I have some craft paper I could send in a 4x6 size envelope. I'll check, and we have loads of brown sacks.

Glenna (& everyone else). You don't have to use brown bag paper for the top layer - feel free to use whatever you have on hand in any plain color you want.

Yes, in fact, if people have die cut machines they could even use those do a heart cut out.

I finally tried one of these cards and well, it was easy & fun, and I've now made 3 of them. :) I ended up using a heart shape template that I found online. I traced it onto the Kraft paper and then cut it out. If you have trouble cutting round shapes (including hearts), check out this YouTube video. I use this method and it works great! Cutting Perfect Circles with Scissors
