PRE-CUT Fabric pieces:

-FIRST *bright print cut FOUR 5 inch X 5 inch charms

-SECOND *bright print cut FOUR 5 inch X 5 inch charms

-THIRD *bright print cut FOUR 5 inch X 5 inch charms

-FOURTH *bright print cut FOUR 5 inch X 5 inch charms

-WHITE or tone-on-tone white PRINT cut SIXTEEN 5 inch X 5 inch charms

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Pair up one bright print charm to one white charm (right sides together)

2. Do this with all the PRE-CUT fabric

3. Make half square triangles from each of these pairs

a. With each pair right sides together, draw a diagonal line from the upper left corner to the lower right corner (draw line on the wrong side of fabric so it will not show when done)

b. Stitch ¼ inch on either side of the drawn line

c. Cut on the drawn line which will give you 2 half square triangles from each pair

d. Press towards the dark side the half-square-triangles (HST’s) and square up to 4 ½ inches

e. You should end up with 32 HST’s (8 of each bright print)

1. Take 4 matching HST’S and stitch them together to form the pinwheels. You should end up with EIGHT PERKY PINWHEELS 2 each from each of the four prints.

2. Keep one of each different print PERKY PINWHEEL for yourself and send one of each to your partner so they will also get 4 completed PINWHEELS.

*BRIGHT print fabrics: For these PERKY PINWHEELS use bright and colorful novelty prints, 1930's prints, unusual prints, anything that says PERKY to you. Avoid browns, blacks, grays as the main colors, but a little of these colors will be fine.
