Description:

This is a swap of things to prevent us getting nmiserable.....

This swap stems from a conversation I have just had with my teacher husband. He was telling me about classes he has just taught and how he thought it was curious that when he asked his classes to name something that made them happy the girls all immediatley said 'chocolate'.

Well, duh, yeah! I tried to explain about how chocolate released endorphns and how if you were miserable chocolate was medicinal and how actually I might eat that chocolate that was in the fridge right now even though I wasn't miserable. He looked confused so I said, "Its preventative medicine."

And thus a swap was born. Plus there are several bad day swaps around and at the moment my days are OK but I'd like to be prepared for when they are not.

So you send the following for your partner to squirrel away to raid when she does hit a bad spell

  1. CHOCOLATE!! Not necesarily a big heavy bar as that causes postage problems for some people - any little chocolate treat that can be tucked into a handbag pocket for emergencies will qualify for this swap. Send as much or as little as you can afford.

  2. A letter containing a funny anecdote or an after dinner type joke. Basically a letter that is not so much about you but about things to make your partner smile

  3. A cartoon - just one pulled from a newspaper say.

  4. One other item - as small and light or as big as you like which would be nice to have to avert a bad day getting really bad. You can use your imagination for this one.

This is international. Newbies welcome. No one with less than 4.5 rating unless you contact me with good explanation

Finaly can I 'abuse' my position as host to alert you to a swap for charity going on at http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/2645 called Swap a Goat. I would be grateful if you coudl just check that out and see if it is for you. If it's a choice between this swap and that one - join that one!

How fun! I always have chocolate on my desk, and coworkers know they can always find it there for those bad days! I have been known to send emergancy kits with chocolate in them when i hear some one is having one of those days.

Oh, this is going to be so much fun for me. I work as an assistant chocolatier, so whomever my swap partner is will get chocolate that I've made!
I'm mentioned in this article: http://www.insideannapolis.com/current/deloache.html , but am hidden by the machine in the photograph of enrobing. Carole (aka FJ)

I'm in! Would it be okay if people posted if they hate dark chocolate? Some people detest it, but it would be my first impulse to send something with dark chocolate.

Well I, certainly don't like dark chocolate, in case you wondered :) Or orange chocolate. ;)Other than that, I think I like the rest.
