THC: 10 step ATC challenge #7

You will send one partner one ATC which you make using the following steps. Some steps require specific TH material to be used and are in bold text so be sure you have them! (If you need an embossed ATC please send me a message and I'll be happy to share.)

1 Grab or create TWO light colored or white ATC blanks.

2 Choose your favorite TH embossing folder pattern and use on one of your ATCs with your machine. (Note that a pattern is preferred, an embossed image may not produce good results on this one.)

3 Use any method you'd like to create a colored background on your embossed ATC using either distress ink or distress oxide ink. Use as many colors as you'd like.

4 Cut your ATC into strips either vertically or horizontally.

5 Place them on to the second ATC in a bargello technique arrangement. (See this picture.) The strips should be placed side-by-side but each one is staggered. You don't necessarily have to maintain the same order so say you cut strips 1, 2, 3, and 4 - you can place them 3, 2, 1, and 4 - just play around!

6 Once you are happy with the arrangement glue the strips in place and trim the edges so your ATC is 2.5"x3.5".

7 Find a coordinating TH embellishment and alter it in some way using TH or Ranger products. (Ideas: for metal use some alcohol ink, for paper use distress stain, make a TH inspired inchie/twinchie/rinchie or altered ticket, paint/ink/stain on grungeboard, color a stamped image).

8 Attach your embellishment using a piece of ribbon, string, or similar.

9 Finish off your ATC if you think it’s too boring or empty but do not cover up too much of your bargello background.

10 Attach a sturdy backing to your ATC which includes at least the ATC title, your username, and date.
