NH ~ I'm New Here, Are You?

This is a simple swap to get some experience and ratings.

Please Note ~ This is an International Swap. International postage is $1.15 per postcard mailed from the USA.

You will send 2 postcards to 2 partners. YOU WILL SEND 1 POSTCARD TO EACH PARTNER The postcards must be purchased, not handmade. On the postcard tell your partner how you discovered Swap-Bot. Your postcards are to be sent naked; at Swap-Bot, that means you are to write your message directly on the postcard, put a stamp on the postcard, and mail it.

The Swap Deadline in the swap description is the last day you can mail your swap. It is important that you send on time, so before you sign up for a swap, make sure you will be available to send on or before that date.

You should always check for swap requirements and ask any and all questions you have about a swap BEFORE you sign up for the swap. Don't assume that you can substitute items if you do not have what is asked for. A good swap host will try to be clear in their swap description but will also check the Discussion area under the swap and respond to any questions.

"For this swap you must have a filled out profile." You will see this a lot as a newbie. Please do not put just three words or sentences in each section. We want to know about you, we want to know what you like and what you dislike, we want to know what you want to do and what crafts you can do. Be creative!!

A swap host may ask you to add information to your profile, here's a quick and easy way to get started.

Go to your Swap-Bot menu at the top of your screen and hover your mouse over the word Profile. You should see a box marked Edit Profile. You will see links to various parts of your basic profile you filled out when you registered for Swap-Bot. Click on the Personal link. This will open up boxes of different sections you can fill out. Make sure to fill out the About Me section, other defaults are Crafts, Favorite Movies, Favorite Books

You can also make new sections for your profile from the drop down boxes in this area. Just drop down to Other and fill in that little blank title to add whatever sections you want, such as Likes and Dislikes.

MAKE SURE YOU HIT THE SAVE CHANGES BUTTON AT THE BOTTOM OR YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR CHANGES

And last, but not least, when you've received your swap from your partner, you must rate them for the swap. Rating is not based on whether or not you like the swap, unless the swap is specifically for a profile-based swap (see I told you to fill out your profile!). The Swap-Bot guidelines are:

• Rate a 5 -- if you received your swap, it was mailed on time, and all requirements were completed.

• Rate a 3 -- if you received your swap, it was not mailed on time, and/or any requirements were not completed.

• Rate a 1 -- if you did not receive your swap.
