Description: | |
This is an international swap - . I've received some very helpful feedback, and apologize for any confusion, because of it - - but hopefully, things are cleared up now. Newbies are welcome (with a complete and filled-in profile). (I ran this swap a while ago, and it was so much fun and well received, and I've just gotten a request to run it again. I hope you have a lot of fun with this.) Since this is a TEST...I am changing the info from the other swap - - so that each person will makeTWO "SMALLER" collage pages, and send them to TWO partners - - one page to each partner. since these are flat and easy to mail, sending them should be pretty inexpensive - - [;please to NOT fold them to send them, but keep them flat, since we do not know how our partners might use th Paper size is now "half-page", or sized to fit into a 9"x6" envelope (still UN-folded), I am giving plenty of time between getting your swap partner's name, and the mailing deadline, so you have plenty of time to make them. What you will do: -*- Take a half-sheet of card stock, water-color paper or other sturdy paper, 8.5" v 5.5" Go hunting for various ephemera/pictures/colors - I made one with all kinds of pictures of clocks! You'd be surprised how often clocks show up in pictures in magazines! I promise, these are quite addictive, and once you get started, you won't want to stop! You can also use dictionaries, phone books, even sheet music! Cut or tear these items into pieces, and adhere them to the sturdy backing paper. (I used rubber cement, and it worked wonderfully, and any "mistakes"can easily be rubbed off.) Cover the entire page, applying glue to a section at a time, then trim around the edges to make certain that the sides are straight and even. Repeat. Everybody makes TWO sheets total, and mails ONE of them to each of your swap partners. These can be used for fun backgrounds for ATC's, inchies, homemade cards or other fun crafts. Even the kids can help (with some supervision.) If you're like me, once you get started, you may just like it so much, that you'll keep going! Newbies are very welcome - just have a completed profile. (And yes, I'll check) I have always said, "when I open your profile page, I should have to scroll down to read it! I'm allowing a couple weeks to get these done, they really are quite addictive! have FUN with this, and let's see what we can come up with! If you have any questions, please just ask. The "original" swap, with the full-size paper, will be shut down for now. I may run it again at a later date. thank you everyone, for your helpful input, in helping me make this decision. |
