CSL Techniques: Loop Start Method

Kinda surprised that this is even considered a "technique" as this is how I always start a new thread. I just assumed that everyone did...

There are 2 other start methods I am aware of and I will cover them too. Loop start can't be used in some occasions and is even discouraged by a lot of people... I LOVE IT. In the George Washington project I am in the loop start isn't. Allowed! I will also cover the pin stitch start so stay tuned. Will move into other techniques as well. Want to make sure we have something for all stitching levels. This also gives a chance to teach each other. I learned with the tuck method (whatever you call it).

Well, I don't buy the "weaker stitch" nonsense that people might say about it, since you are always crossing over it anyway. And the "hard to get at the back of a larger piece" to start it... well, you'd have to get at the back to untangle a thread or at the very least to finish off the thread by passing it under other threads on the back. I, personally, love the loop start method and use it unless I have an odd number of threads. But to each his own. I'd like to know how roughly one has to handle their stitching to break a thread, though. I just can't imagine. ..
