Playlist | Favorites: 5 x 5

Hi all,

I’ve recently fallen in love with some new (to me) music and thought it would be fun to swap our favorites, both old and new. So the swap will consist of your top 5 songs of all time + 5 recent songs that you’re playing on repeat like a lunatic. They don’t have to be NEW, but they do have to be new to you.

This means that if you’ve just been listening to the bands that you love (no worries!), you’ll be extra challenged to go out and seek new music that you love. This is easy to do via Pandora by default, or in Spotify via Made For You or browsing in their genre/mood pre-made playlists (I’ve found some excellent bands this way; if I hear a sound that is intriguing but I don’t love it, I’ll go to that artists’ page and listen to the rest of their catalogue and I generally find 1-2 that I totally love) or even via Fans Also Like on a favorite artists’ profile (I think it’s under their 5 songs under the profile image). Or you could just search Youtube/Vimeo/etc for genre playlists and search that way. Do whatever you gotta do to fall in love with 5 new-to-you tracks and share them with the other all-time favorite 5 tracks. If you’d like to comment with the tracks about why you love it, please do so.

Note: there is obviously an honor system thing in this challenge swap, so please be honorable and don’t pick any ‘new to you’ songs that are actually already favorites. Let’s say that the new to you song has to have been discovered in the last 6 months. If you’re sent a clear playlist that includes 10 songs broken down by All-Time and New by the send date, rate a 5. If they’ve included links to the songs, please provide a heart.

I will obviously angel if something goes awry for this swap.
