THIS A LONG TERM COMMITMENT & HIGH QUALITY SWAP.

  • Be willing to be a part of this swap for 20 or more rounds.
  • Bewilling to commit to spending over $50 in postage by the time it is all over.
  • Be willing to wait, possibly one year, to get back your journal.

This swap is a COMMITMENT, and if you can't follow through with the guidelines above, please do not join.

JOINING THIS SWAP DOES NOT GUARANTEE YOU WILL EVER SEE YOUR JOURNAL AGAIN. THIS IS A HIGH RISK SWAP. JOIN AT YOUR OWN RISK.

ROUNDERS RETURNING FROM ORIGINAL SWAP:
Please follow the same requirements you would if you’ve just received your journal back, which ya kinda did. Hehe.

HOW THIS WORKS FOR FIRST ROUNDERS:

  • If this is your first round find a journal/notebook/composition book with at least 80 pages; no spiral-bound, as they get crunched by the post machines.
  • On the inside of the front cover write who the journal belongs to: THIS INCLUDES YOUR SWAP NAME.
  • On the back page or the inside of the back cover write your name, address and where to send the journal home when it is full.
  • Write a handwritten/typed bio about yourself, that is at least one page. Please no “bios in stickers.” Feel free to embellish your bio with stickers but there must be something handwritten.
  • Write one journal entry about your day, yourself, your thoughts, life, the world or a complete meltdown, what ever comes to mind that is at least one full page.
  • Write one journal prompt for your swap partner to answer.

Once completed send journal off to your partner on or before the send date, WITH TRACKING NUMBER.

HOW THIS WORKS FOR RETURNING ROUNDERS:

  • Answer the prompt your partner has provided that is at least one page.
  • Add your bio that is at least one handwritten/typed page.
  • Add your own journal entry that is at least 1 1/2 pages.
  • Add a journal prompt for your partner to answer.

Send it off to your partner on or before the send date, WITH TRACKING NUMBER.

HOW TO RATE SO THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO CONFUSION. THIS IS MANDATORY:

  • Bio must be at least 1 page or more.
  • Journal entry must be at least 1 page or more.
  • Journal prompt must be included.

It’s imperative that you be timely in completing and posting your swap. When mailing please DO NOT POST AS MEDIA MAIL. Doing so causes issues such as the item being returned, arriving to your partner with postage due or possibly causing damage to the item itself.

If the above 5 points have been completed correctly please rate your partner a 5. If entries are shorter than a page or postage is late without prior contact from your partner rate a 3. If you receive nothing rate a 1 and contact me as soon as possible.

IF YOU RECEIVE YOUR OWN JOURNAL BACK:

  • Skip the bio portion & write about a day in your life, any day.
  • Decorate a page any way your heart desires (stickers, doodles, wash tape, scrapbook or add pictures).
  • Add your journal prompt.

SWAP QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Rating 4.95 or higher.
  • Must be rated for at least 10 type 3 swaps.
  • Well filled out profile.

I will be going through everyone's profiles for the above in the hopes of preventing any issues or flakers on this swap.

----- Any suspicious swappers will be removed. I have the final word. I'll be fair but I'll be strict.

You will have two weeks to send out your journal. Feel free to PM me if there are any questions. I’m not sure I can Angel this swap but I’ll do my best to rectify the loss of anyone’s journal.

SWAPPERS LET’S BE ACCOUNTABLE. Please comment below on the swapper’s journal currently in your possession each round until the very end; you’ll be entered to win a snazzy gift card from someplace cool although I don’t know where yet.

BIG THANKS to AmericanHeiress for allowing me to take over her kick bootie swap.

For the journal entry must it be written/typed or are we allowed to decorate it some as well as write/type?

I love this! I was just trying to imagine a way to create a swap similar to the 1,000 journals project. I loved it. I am very excited for this. Thank you for hosting such a swap!

jenmcjen 03/ 2/2019 #

Can I start back with the journal I had? Or must be new?

SassyChicken 03/ 6/2019 #

@Jenmcjen I was planning on using mine from the last swap group.

PrettyAlice 03/ 7/2019 #

Can we type our entry? My handwriting was never good and has gotten horrible with my arthritis.

Irene 03/ 7/2019 #

@faeriemail Definitely spruce any of your entries! Go for it!

@jenmcjen Sure you can use your existing journal. I'm sorry, I thought i mentioned that.

@PrettyAlice Typewritten is absolutely a-ok!

I only just got the message Irene sent. I'd sign up again but never got my other one back.
