Do you have a cabinet full of lotions, perfumes, face creams bubble baths and other luxury items that you just don't use at all anymore? I know I sure do! I LOVE trying out new products that catch my fancy at the store....and then after a few uses, I often get distracted by the next greatest thing on the shelves! Seems an awful waste of space, and I got to thinking that I wished I could pass them along......so this swap idea was born! The rules for this swap will be listed in detail, to ward off any potential abuses that I can think of.... 1) you will send 5 items of bath and body luxury to one partner (body lotions, facial creams and lotions, eye creams, facial washes, perfumes, etc.....not makeup!) 2)The items can be new, or they can be used items that can be pumped, squirted, or squeezed out of their container (no direct contact of any kind with the remaining product!) Used items must be 50% or more full.....we're not sending (almost) empty bottles, ok?? 3) this swap is to send items that make us feel special, so no generic soap bar, right? I know you all have lovely lotions that you just don't use anymore! 4) US only to save on shipping 5) Hearts for extras like notes, additional items, or tailoring your package your partners profile/requests 6) all swappers welcome as long as you don't have recent no-sends....everyone who signs up should be an enthusiastic participant! 7) message me or post a comment below if you think the rules should be altered to be more fair/sanitary/etc 8) the swap deadline is set so that we all have some fun new "toys" to play with right before Valentine's Day! 9) HAPPY SWAPPING!!!

Wonderful idea! I am exactly the same as you as far as using stuff only to find something else that catches my eye. I would love to join but I am not sure that I will have money for shipping for 2 partners since I already have a TON of swaps on my watchlist that I plan on joining. If you decide to do something like this in the future with only one partner then I would love to join. Thanks

OK nomorerain, good idea....I had originally thought to make it for 1 partner only but then I thought maybe people would have enough ideas for two people....but now I have changed it to 1 partner!

Great idea for those "I thought I would like it", item's. I make homemade soap (sold over 300 bar's last year) would that also be acceptable?

MaryBT I also sent a message but wanted to make sure you were notified.

I received your package back today.

They say that I owe more postage on it but it is a flat rate box. No matter the weight, it is one price.

I will take it down to the local post office again and find out why Missouri PO sent it back wanting more money. Don't they read their own little red circles on the box that say "Flat Rate Box, regardless?"

I don't know why this happened but will get it straightened out today.

I don't blame you for refusing it, I wouldn't pay postage of $5.40 postage due either.

OK I sent it UPS this time and sent you the UPS tracking number.

The post office said they had no idea why more postage was needed but they wanted me to pay postage to send it again, no refund on my original postage.

So it was cheaper to ship UPS.
