Description:

This swap is for ribbon roses! Fill up a bowl or a vase for Valentine's Day with beautiful roses that don't need to be watered! Then stitch them to a pillow, a scarf, barettes, headbands, a curtain, a hat...the possibilities are endless!

You will have 2 partners. You will send each partner "6-inches" of handmade ribbon roses. If you are making 1-inch roses, send six to each partner. If you are making 2-inch roses, send three to each partner. Mix and match & have fun! There are no size, design or color restrictions, only the minimum total diameter of roses. But it's so fun to make these I'm sure no one will need a ruler!

How do you get hearts? Add leaves, beads or send extra roses! Please do not send purchased packages of tiny roses unless they are extras for hearts!

There are many tutorials if you search Google or You Tube. Please post in the comments if you find a really good one!

Newbies are welcome, with completed profile. I reserve the right to ban anyone with ratings below a 4. Please send me a message if you have a good reason why you have a poor rating and I may excuse you. I will angel for this swap if required.

Now this sounds like fun, what a good idea. I should plenty have time to whip up some roses.. I have ribbon stashed everywhere!

I hadn't seen the Ric Rac Rose before. I love how it makes a snug little bud! That site is amazing...lots of eye candy! Thank you for sharing it!

This one makes a nice folded rose. Very detailed instructions make it easy to learn! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQXT-q7AMX4&feature=related

these would be ribbon roses only, correct?

I had intended this as a ribbon stash-busting craft. This is my first swap, so I'm open to ideas. What were you thinking, mystmaiden? :)

Lots of Youtube Tuts

This lady has graciously shared quite a few of her tuts which are the clearest and best I've come across.
