This is an international swap and open to everyone with a complete profile or higher than a rating of 3. So newbies, join in to get some ratings! For this swap you will have two partners. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to send a letter to each partner that was originally written for someone else. For example, a letter that you wrote your boss telling them you hate them. Or a letter you wrote for your roommate about their annoying habits. Letters that we sometimes write for other in people in our journals or whatever. Letters we never plan to send to the one we're writing about. Since writing these letters can be so satisfying, so can sending them. So vent away! A couple things to keep in mind. People can get very upset when ranting so please do not join if you are not open-minded or if you despise cussing. I'm sure at least one letter will have at least some language. But, please don't send letters that are nothing but cussing. You have two weeks to send out your letters. Please send on time. I don't want to see anyone with "Not Sent" by their name on April 28th.

I get it so like if I really needed to vent about my hubby (not that I do coz he's brill) I write a letter to him then mail it to my partner right?

This is right up my alley! Believe it or not I have a box under my bed that is full of letters I've written but never sent! There is also a wonderful community on livejournal based on this same aspect!

BK do you write them to specific people or do you find they end up just being an outlet to all your pent up emotion? I'm interested in whether this actually works to releiveing the frustration (something I have a big problem with)

Cloverst - it's a little bit of both! I've written letters to people who I wish I could give them too but I have no idea where they are now and I've written letters out of anger just to let the emotions out to save myself from hurting someone's feelings. Believe it or not, writing things down on paper is a great outlet and stress reliever too!

Good idea! Would be interesting to read. I wrote such letters and I remember very well what I wrote but I think they would be too upsetting and shocking and they are destroyed anyway.

Do the letters have to be angry, venting ones or just fit the description "unsent"?

Cloverst - Yup, you've got the right idea! ButterflyKisses - I've done this for years as well and have a similar box. Most of mine were love letters when I started lol I'm familiar with that community, and I used to run a community on LJ called never2bsent with the same idea. Artgeek - Nope, they don't have to be angry at all. They can be love letters you never sent, sad letters, thoughtful, etc. Just letters you wrote to someone else and never sent. They can be ones you have written in the past, or ones you write for this swap.

i find myself writing just feelings and at the end of the letter its actually pointing towards my feelings about someone, so to me writing letters to nobody is a way for me to figure out why i am upset or confused. It really works!

Ok I have 2 questions.... Do they have to be handwritten, or can I type them? My handwriting is horrible when i get on a "venting" roll, and honestly my hand can't move the pen fast enough to keep up with my brain. Secondly.. is there a minimum page limit? Or do I just write enough to feel better? This is a great idea... a little daunting because that means I have to face somethings within myself that I have been avoiding.... but none-the-less still a great idea.

Sorry for the late reply. Letters can be done any way you wish. Handwritten, typed, stamped, etc. Also as for page limit, there isn't one =)

artgeek and JESSiCA My letters have officially been sent. I typed them up since whenever I started to write them, my writing was illegible. You'll understand why when you get it.

I forgot I used GMAIL for swap-bot, instead of AOL mail. There fore, I didnt recieve any Emails and had totally forgotten about this. I havn't recieved anything (except for my BAREDESK swap) .. but I also havnt sent anything.

I'll be sending out ASAP. I understand if I get a bad rating, though. I'm sorry.

Also sophiejune has been brought to my attention in another swap for sending her end. She is also marked as Not Sent in this swap. So her partners (I am one) should not be surprised if they do not receive anything. Whoever was supposed to receive from sophiejune, please contact me and I will gladly angel this swap.
