If you've joined my Pals that Read Profiles, it's the same, but now we're taking it a step further; make something and send it with the letter! (example: ATC, bookmark, postcard, any kind of card, any kind of paper thing that you created--stickers do not count as creating) KEEP READING IF YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH THIS SWAP--it's not just ANY letter writing swap. This swap is for those who: 👍Keep their pal in mind/profile in mind when writing and truly RESPOND to profiles/letters, 👍Like a 2 way conversation with a pal; asking questions RELATED TO THAT SPECIFIC PERSON 👍Tend to write longer letters, and ENJOY papercrafts! 👎NOT for those who: send the same letters/parts to more than one pal 👎 Write like it's a journal/diary entry or a play-by-play of their day without looking at the profile (or letter if responding)👎Can't tell who their letter is to by the content 😖 doesn't ask any questions specifically FOR that partner/pal. This is for potential pals who are willing to put in the effort to get to know their partners and see if they're a match for ongoing pen paling. 🌈Rating based on whether it was obvious that your partner actually read your profile (obvious as in they commented on multiple topics in your profile and sent something handmade; if they did that, it's a 5; rating is NOT based on commonalities, or how much you like what they made; it's based on whether they READ your profile and wrote to YOU specifically and sent something hand made) No requirements on length (just a real letter, not a couple paragraphs), no stationery or tuck-ins required (include if you like per their profile). The requirement is to really read the profile and focus on the person you're writing to in your letter and comment on their profile, ask questions about them specifically, etc. And, add something "crafty" that you made that you think they might like based on their profile. Hopefully you will gain a pal or two, but keep trying if you don't get a long term match; just like when you meet people in person, some you click with and some you don't....it may take several swaps to get a pal that feels like a long lost friend. You can be new but you MUST have a well filled-out profile about yourself to join this swap. (Saying what THINGS you like for other swaps is not sufficient for this swap, talking about swaps themselves is not sufficient, etc.) |
