Pencil Bag Swap Artists Style #1

My inspiration for this comes from Sketch Box, I’m an annual member (newly joined) and I love the box of art supplies I receive each month.

For this swap you’ll purchase and/or decorate a zippered bag similar to or exactly like the pencil bag we used to put in our binders for school. (Decorating is optional) Size of the bag needs to be at least 5x7 and it must zip.

You’ll include 6 items for creating art. Please see examples below this isn’t what’s required just some ideas and suggestions on minimums. Use your judgement, for example if you’re sending foam brushes that you have in bulk include 2 and that counts as 1 item...a pack of map colors is 1 item (even though there’s 12 pencils)...etc.

Some examples include:

Map Colors (whole package) Markers (at least 3 or a set if you’re so inclined, they’re cheap right now) ATC bases (at least 6) Watercolor Paper (at least 4, cut to fit into the bag) Small bottles of paint (Minimum of 2 colors-like from Walmart craft aisle that are 2/$1.00) Foam brush (at least 2) Ephemera (must be 3-5 quality items) Drawing Pencils (at least 2) Art Sponges for texturing Gemstones Stencils Colorful Gel Pens (at least 2) Color Sharpies (at least 2) Journaling type pens (at least 2) Adhesive such as a tape runner or glue dots or foam dots (one package)

Be creative, think about items you use in making art that might be nice to give to another artist. There are some good finds at the Dollar Stores but please only include 1 item from a Dollar type store.

This is going to be a Type 3 semi-bulky swap so please keep that in mind when signing up postage could be about $6-$10 depending on what you’ve selected to send.

I will be requiring a 5.0 rating, no low ratings that don’t show an attempt to resolve.

You’ll have 1 partner. Please check your partners profile to see what kind of art they are doing. Communicate with them if you’re unsure after reading their profile.

Please rate your partner a 5 if you received an appropriate bag and sufficient items that’s the intent of the swap, if it’s items you don’t use or like that’s a personal preference and it not a good reason to rate down 🙂
