Description:

Dear Ladies,

We are to make a pretty calling card case to keep at home with us, to slip into our reticules, to use on social calls or to take with us when at the Assembly Rooms. The dimensions of the case which will be only a tad larger than a business card and the depth to be as you please. To make it authentic to our time period, focus on those lovely subdued Georgian colour hues perhaps with patterns. The image above is from Ruby Lane Antiques although a document holder, it serves as a wonderful card case inspiration too.

THE SWAP - Take a photograph or two of your hand crafted card case and send these in an EMAIL to your partner with a lovely note in your characters voice perhaps inviting them to accompany you to one of the lectures during the Assembly season.

I have included several links to view of shallow envelope cases or slightly wider boxes, so you might choose what suits your sensibilities. Some are a mere flat envelope with a flap opening. Then others are a flat box with a flip lid, to your specifications.

The formula is basically, measure your business card/calling card, add 1/2cm to the length and breadth and 1cm for the depth. then go from there to follow a template.
