I thought it might be fun to do a little email recipe swap.
For this swap you will have 5 partners. You will send them a minimum of 10 recipes that fulfill 10 of the categories below. (You can happily do all 20 but 10 is the bare minimum.) This is for pdfs, NOT just for links. And they need to be recipes you’ve TRIED and liked. Somewhere in your email you need to state which recipe fits which category.
You have some apples that need to be used up. You make this for dessert to use some of them up.
Your friends are coming over for supper and you don’t know what they like to eat so you make this as it’s usually well-received by most people.
You’re trying to impress a first date so you make this as it looks good and tastes amazing.
This is a delicious recipe that needs 5 ingredients or less.
You have to bring an appetizer to a party but you’re feeling rather strapped for cash so you make this as it doesn’t cost a lot in groceries.
You have a sugar craving in the evening and a handful of chocolate chips or an apple aren’t going to cut it. You make this ridiculously simple but tasty treat for yourself.
It’s harvest time and you’ve visited the local farmer’s market and bought some of your favourite produce. You’re DEFINITELY having this for supper tonight. (Could be fruit or vegetable. Could be a main course or a dessert.)
A new recipe that you tried this year for the first time and you LOVED immediately.
Favourite dinner recipe that uses pasta.
You need to bring a dessert to a potluck. This is one of your favourites.
Favourite soup recipe.
Favourite crockpot recipe.
Favourite salad recipe that doesn’t use any form of lettuce.
Your cousin is coming for supper. He’s a vegetarian. What do you make?
You need to bring an appetizer to wine club. This one is always a hit.
A recipe your mom made that you continue to make in your own home.
Your 5 year-old is having 2 friends over for supper. You want to make sure to cook something most kids like. What do you make?
Your favourite dessert that’s not cookies or cake.
An ethnic meal.
This is something that you’re secretly kind of proud that you know how to make. It might intimidate some people but not you.
The interpretation for each one is up to you. Some are clear (eg. dessert or main course), some more vague.
Since this is an email swap I will allow newbies. However, I will not allow anyone that has any unexplained 1s or any swaps that they are currently late on (and I will check). I am of the opinion that you should make right on missed swaps before joining new ones.
