Do you have to sew around cardboard or somethingelse to make it stiff?

All right, I googled and found out, that you use stiff fabric like timtex, which I can buy at joanns between two fabric layers.

This sounds REALLY interesting, but is there any way of extending the deadline a bit? Still got some swaps going and Fasching is here, too, so time's tight at the moment and I like to be able to put time and effort into my creations.

Of course you can sew around a piece of cardstock - just make sure the ATC is not getting too big. (=

It turned out to be much harder than I thought, mainly because of the exact small size - I finally got the first two the right size, now I have to either fix or redo the third one.Another question - I sew both outside sides and then turn them out and then stuff the timex inside, but it does come out a little bulky - is that normal for fabric atcs. They will definetely not fit into atc sleeves.
