RAK Destash #5 - June

Honestly I don't have any summer plans. I spend most of my time at home. It has nothing to do with covid. I am disabled. Since my husband passed, I live with my son who helps me out at home and does errands for me.

When I was living at home (as a child) I looked forward to going to Cape Cod, Mass. I went there every summer with my parents. I loved it there. The beaches were nice including the National Seashore where they had little tidepools with you could catch hermit crabs and gather shells. The seafood and lobster were great. In the evenings, we went down town to take a nice walk and sometimes get amazing ice cream. I also went there after I was married. We spent time in the cabin across the street from the beach. It was a fun time. With my parents we always stayed in a hotel that always had a pool.

I'll be celebrating turning 50 years old this summer. Because I am turning 50, I have rather a lot of plans.

I've started a vegetable garden and I hope I'll be reaping the benefits of the things I've sown. We've got peppers, tomatoes, lettuce, cukes and zukes, and so much more.

I'll also be working on my own happy mail swap group, doing a lot of planning, etc.

Lastly, I'm going to start some daily memory keeping and small art journaling in a five year planner.

I'm an introvert but I plan to get out a little more since I was in so much last year. I want to complete my reading goals. I was to get in better shape, which I had been doing well with but I want to do even better.

Well for starters I am a college student. Secondly, I live in Florida so it's pretty much summer all year around. But I would like to get out more. I live close to Daytona Beach. So I will probably go to the beach several times. I would also like to camping and fishing. Thanks for doing this swap yvonne401.

I have some major events this summer. I am going to become a grandmother in July. I am turning 50 in August. My 4 daughters are planning a party for me. My Mom passed away in March so we are spreading her ashes this summer. Other than that, I plan on spending as much time as I can with my family and friends, getting outside in this beautiful summer weather and crafting!

Oh man my summer plans are to hopefully get thru the next two weeks of school. Go to my home in Georgia and do some serious cleaning and possibly take a nice trip with my BFF's

I will be spending Independence Day week with my husband’s family in Utah. I will be planning my 20 yr wedding anniversary trip that we will take in October. I have older kids so when they are not working I try to spend time with them going to the lake, mall, park, farmers market. I kind of just go with the flow. Thank you so much for this opportunity.

I’m a school nurse so my first response would be “shut my brain off”. It has been an incredibly long, challenging, and frustrating school year. I want to relax on the beach, catch up with friends, and read a few books. But because there is no rest for the weary, I’ll be packing up my house and moving this summer! I’m excited but very overwhelmed at this, as we’ve been in the house for a very long time. But on to new adventures!

The only plan I have so far is a long weekend trip. My family and I are sharing an AirBNB with my sister and her family. Our kids are teens and are best friends. They haven't been together since the whole covid thing, so we are really looking forward to this trip

This summer, my husband will be continuing chemo, so we wont be traveling to far together, anywhere. However, I did start a part time job as a co-driver- transporting rescue dogs from Texas to the Pacific Northwest states (my first trip is tomorrow). Each trip is 6 days and we go every three weeks. I've never been to that part of the US before, so its pretty exciting. Then, my step-daughter and 2 grandkids are visiting us here, from Michigan on June 22-26th. We've added a new puppy to our family a few days ago, so I am sure that will keep me busier than I've been used to also.

This summer sadly im just planning to work, work, and work but on the bright side, it be for our vacation will be in December :). On my weekend off, kids and I will take evening walks and maybe cool down at the local pool for the rest of summer.

I gave notice to my employer of 20 years, my last day was 6/11. I start my next job mid-July. So I have 1 month off without any work responsibilities. I'm planning a few fun things.....I'm nervous, but excited

My summer plans are to be near a pool or body of water as much as possible. I suspect it’s going to be a very hot Texas summer this year.

My plan for the summer is probably to spend as much time in my pool as possible ! I will also be watching my niece and nephew. Vacation will have to wait till next year !

This summer I plan to travel a little, work a little and laugh a great deal. I am really looking forward to spending time outside and reconnecting with people I haven’t seen in over a year. I also hope to finish unpacking and getting rid of things I just don’t need any longer. Time to slim things down.

Summer plans this year for my family includes lots of travel! New Orleans, Vegas, Dallas & Louisville! I'll also be working on a fun junk journal, as well as doing a 'Christmas in July' project...with the aim being to complete all my handmade Christmas cards for this year by the end of July. Wish me luck!
