ABCs: Multi-media APCs

For this swap, we will use poker-sized playing cards to keep with ATC sizing standards. If the cards are too flimsy, you will need to adhere more than one card together for increased sturdiness.

Any group member who wishes to participate, but needs poker-sized playing cards are welcome to DM me. I will gladly share what I have.

• Starter Set Backgrounds will have at least 3 different techniques applied. In the video (link above) she uses paint, stamping, and bits of book page collaged onto each card.
• The fact that these are playing cards should be obvious to the viewer. In other words, at least one corner of each card (where the number and/or suite is printed) will be visible. Transparent tissue covering is acceptable, but opaque coverage is not.
• Focal images in this video were stamped onto a piece of Gelli-plate print and then fussy-cut out to create a centerpiece. We will create our focal images in whatever manner our craft stash allows.

Focal images, accents, and/or embellishments may be sent loose (not affixed) with the set, if you’d like to allow your buddy to place them on once they’ve made their additions.

• Remember to include your User ID & the Swap Title!

• Upon receipt of your Starter Set, your partner will rate a 5 for creating the set based on the swap details mentioned above and on our group’s Home page (accurate size & sturdy/firm backers)

• You’ll finish both cards by simply adding 2-3 items/techniques to each card, and sign/date the back (or add an addy label, if ya got ‘em!).

• Then send one (1) completed card back to the original artist!

There’s no set timeline for how long we may “hold” a set of buddy jams, because true art cannot be rushed, right!

However, if you’re going to need longer than a month, please let your partner know by sending them a direct message.
