Ye Olde Faire in Camelot #2: Minstrels/Troubadours

The faire is coming to town! Come one, come all but don't ignore the call!

Note: Please read over this swap carefully, it's not complicated I just like to explain everything with as much detail as I can, but make sure you read all the criteria before signing up.

This is the second in what will be a series of swaps based on the old traveling faires. Whether gypsies, a troupe of entertainers or players, whatever names they were called by, they would set up tents just on the outskirts of town and sell their wares, read fortunes, play instruments, and entertain! They would also sell things for the children, potions to cure aliments, weapons, jewelry and so much more. Just a simple faire but something new and exciting nonetheless!

Emerging from the fortune teller's tent, your mind still pondering the words that were spoken, you hear the most delightful sound above the chatter and noise of the crowd...music! They've begun this evenings festivities and what a night it will be! Now that you think about it, you begin to notice all sorts of minstrels, bards and even a gypsy or two among the crowd, most likely here to entertain. You get a tankard of honey mead and start walking toward the clearing where people are gathering, and wait...

So, this is a music swap. For this swap you will send 1 CD to 2 partners for a total of 2 CD's. Please include a track listing and a minimum of 12 songs (I would normally say 15, but some of these songs are sometimes longer than the average 2-3 minutes of most pop songs). Cover art would be nice, but not a requirement.

The theme of the music is obviously medieval, think Renaissance Faires and the like. For musicians think of Loreena McKennitt, Heather Dale, Medieval Babes to list a few. The music can have a slight contemporary feel to it as long as it doesn't distract from it sounding "medieval." For example, I have some amazing songs in Latin, but they have a slight techno backbeat to them but they still have that faire or medieval feel to them. Also another example may be the Chieftans CD "Tears of Stone" featuring various females artists singing songs like "He Moved Through the Fair," "Raglan Road" and "The Lowlands of Holland" to name a few, of course instrumental songs are fine too as are some chants. I will give everyone a month to prepare and a little over a week to sign up as I want everyone to have theirs by May Day (May 1st) to celebrate the coming of summer!

This is a group swap so everyone should be trustworthy but I will say this now - if you flake on a group swap you will be dropped from the group. Also, if you are going to be late even by a day please pm your partner to let them know it's just common courtesy. I understand life happens.
