Of Love And Shadows - Isabel Allende Greetings everyone! This swap is open for all people who live on the Isle of Swaps (check the forums). As the Island's official librarian I have taken it upon myself to form the official book club!! I have chosen the book 'Of Love and Shadows' by Isabel Allende. I think it should be widely available in libraries/book stores/friends homes etc. and I have provided a long sign up deadline/swap deadline so everyone can get their hands on a copy and they can all read the book! Even if you think that Of Love And Shadows doesn't sound like your particular genre of book, give it a go... you can always let your partner know what you thought of it, good or bad! So in this swap you will hopefully read the book, then write your partner a letter. Your letter should include your thoughts on the book as well as a rating. It's really up to you what goes in the letter, but hopefully it will be insightful and open your partners mind to possibilities they didn't think of when they read the book. Letters should be AT LEAST two pages long, written or typed. This swap is fairly experimental so I hope you all bear with it ;D It's really open to suggestions so if you think there's something that will improve it I'd really like to know!

Fantastic! Let me know if it doesn't appear to be a very common book I might have to change it, I'm pretty sure it is though.

I just ordered a copy of this book. I'm happy to read and write a letter to a swap partner. I've never heard of this author, but of course, I don't sit still long enough to actually read a book most of the time. I'll give it a go, though!

I'll be ordering a copy too - check at the used booksellers on Amazon and of course Ebay. I don't think it will cost too much - our library wouldn't have it - besides if I am going to really get into it, I won't want to give it up later anyway. Thank you for not picking popular fiction or chick lit! This looks like it is worth reading.
