Description:

This is an actual page kit swap. I hadn't done one yet because I wanted to find the best way to set it up. So here it is: (If there are any suggestions, please let me know.)

The theme is fairy tales. i.e. princesses and knights in shining armor - kind of like medieval times :). I ask that when making or buying your items that you stick to earthtones: reds, yellows, oranges, greens, browns and deep blues. Just so that we can match items together on the page(s)

You will send one item to each of your 5 partners. It will be the same item, as each participant will choose something different. So if you chose matted poems, you would make 5 and send them out to your five partners.

There can only be 2 bought items in this swap. The other 3 must be handmade. Please list below what item you will be sending. If we do not get 6 swappers I will consider reducing the partners but let's try to make this work.

There are a variety of suggestions below. Send a little extra for a heart! Everyone can participate that have a rating of 4.8 and better. Newbies welcome with a full profile. I reserve the right to keep this a healthy swapping environment. (Numbers of items are approximate, give something you would want to receive)

I'll send Matted poems! :)

I can make and send library pockets with tags-I'd love to make them jewel-toned and gilded, lavish and medieval with a fairy-tale twist. Would that suit everyone? I'd love feedback. :)

Sounds awesome!! I can't wait!

Lishmo 03/26/2009 #

I'm sure loads of people will want to join, your swap idea is awesome. :)

I would like to do the die cut alphabet. I will use the Storybook font from Cricut in gold sparkly cardstock. How does this sound?

What size letters would you like?

I can cut these out tonight.

Rose827 03/30/2009 #

Sounds great! I guess 1 1/2" is fine, but whatever size you think would work best on a title for a 12x12 page :)

SusieStone 03/31/2009 #

My letters are cut and bagged. I wish it was time to mail.

Rose827 03/31/2009 #

Me too but we still need two more members to sign up. When we have 6 in the swap, I'll just close it up and verify a send date for everyone :)

O.K. Y'all - This sounds fantastic. Not having been doing this as long a some of you - there are suggestions that I don't even know. On that thought - can I send brads, eyelets, buttons, fibers, ribbons, or yarns or a combo of those? I would offer to "make" but I am having eye problems and I have tons of the afore-mentiioned items, and would love to share. Joan

Any of those suggestions sound great!

SusieStone 04/ 3/2009 #

The sooner the due date the better. I am ready to sign as soon as we are assigned partners.

Lishmo 04/ 4/2009 #

Earth tones or Jewel tones? Some metallics?

Rose827 04/ 6/2009 #

I think jewel tones would definitely better represent this period! And you can use mettalics...it will be a great accompaniment :)
