Description:

I love receiving edible goodies in the mail, however as I ate my last candy swap, I thought, wouldn't it be nice for our kitties to receive some tasty treats in the mail?

So this swap requires you to send at least one packet of treats for your partners cat/s. I'm starting out with a small treat swap, but if this one goes well, I will do bigger kitty swaps in the future I think.

You must spend at least $3 (before shipping) on a packet of treats. If you can only find lower priced treats, buy more to make up to the $3 (hope this makes sense). Of course you can send extra for a heart!

You may post if your cat has any allergies or dislikes, however please try not to be too fussy! Any questions, mail me! NO NEWBIES I'M AFRAID. NO ONES either, unless you have a good reason for it (mail me). I've just been flaked in my own swap due to newbies, so ONLY people with at least 10 swaps. I will ban anyone who does not meet this criteria. Sorry to be harsh, but I want this swap to go well.

OK I am perfectly willing to have people from the USA in this swap, however I do not wish others to risk losing out on treats, so unfortunately, I am limiting this swap to Europe only. Sorry about this, however someone says its illegal to send pet treats to the USA (although I have done many times, with pet treats on the label, and it got through customs fine), so I'm changing it.

You will have ONE MONTH to sign up, then TWO WEEKS to send out the treats.

My cats are not fussy, however they especially like chicken flavoured and fish flavoured treats!

This is alot like the swap I'm hosting at the moment, I'm in! I swear, my cat is getting more mail then me now XD.

I did see your swap, however my kitties already have collars all over the house (and they are indoor cats!). So no more collars needed here. They go outside on harnesses supervised only, so they don't need any more. Great idea though!

Note I have 2 kittens born 2/7. So the treats are fine soft or hard they seem to eat them. I will have them pictured on flickr and on facebook.

please be careful with these swaps. Meat products are prohibited entry into many countries and your swap packages may not make it to their destinations intact or at all. Australia and th US are extremely strict because of potential animal diseases. And just to let you know, the US prohibits ALL PET FOODS/TREATS unless a permit accompanies the shipment.

hippofairy - who told you that? I have sent several packages to the USA containing pet treats over the past two years.

Also, I have received meat treats from the USA too. I know Australia is very strict, however the people joining from that country should know their laws and take part in this swap at their own risk.

I work for Customs and Border Protection and have seized and destroyed many prohibited items from mail parcels. maybe you have gotten lucky with not having been intercepted, but i just wanted to let you know that it is ILLEGAL and that you are taking a chance that maybe your package will not make it to it's destination. the regulations are because of fear of diseases like "mad cow," "foot and mouth disease," and "bird flu." the pet food industry doesn't have the same sanitary regulations that human food does, so even if it only contains fish the equipment may still be contaminated with pork/beef/chicken. the risk is minimal for people that live in the city compared to somebody that lives on a farm, but there still is a risk. if you have any more questions please feel free to contact me via PM. thanks!

OK although I am perfectly willing to send treats to the USA and not bothered by it, I do not want others to risk the possibility of not receiving their treats. I will make this a European swap.
