Description:

Some people collect pins, some make them, and some find that they have accumulated them on accident. I happen to be all three in one.... For this swap, you will have three partners, and you may make your pins, buy your pins, or find them in the things you already own (please don't send trash or button pins--these should be something that you would be thrilled to receive yourself.) You'll send out three pins to three partners and receive three back! You may make them however you like--felting, cloth, knitted, crochet, cross stitched, quilted.... whatever! You may buy whatever you prefer or check out your partners' profiles for ideas!!! (You know how you love to get those items that fit something you're actually into!) I won't be angeling this swap, but I will be scanning profiles and eliminating fish. Please message me if you'd like to join, but have something questionable in your profile. Newbies are invited provided that their profile is 150% filled out and can stick to the guidelines (I choose to believe that no newbie would want to start out on a bad foot....) Recap: 3 pins.... made, bought or found (no trash, no button-style pins--if anyone has a question as to what a button-style is, think political pins.... or pins with a snide remark on them... those are usually button-style.) 1 pin to each partner. Rate when you receive! Hearts for matching profile desires or putting in a little extra effort :)

Have fun ya'll!!!

Ps. Pins are pretty light, so this will be International! Plus, pins from other countries could be interesting!

Is there a specific size, like 1" pins. And are we talking about pinback buttons that you make in a button machine?

jacksbluejane 03/28/2009 #

any size pins are acceptable and the ones made in a machine are the ones we're avoiding.... the button style. These need to be on the nicer, craftier side. Button style can be sent as extras for hearts and etc.

Okay, you mean pins as in brooches?

jacksbluejane 03/30/2009 #

yep yep yep :) I think I usually think giant rhinestone encrusted animals when i here "brooches." Sorry to be so unclear... I didn't realize. :)

What about tac type pins?

jacksbluejane 03/31/2009 #

tac type pins are good :) I like those... just a little something to hold a scarf... perfect!
